Question:
Adult Braces - Cosmetics: I really have 2 questions.
I had a chipped tooth when I was younger and I had bonding to fix it on the front tooth. Will this cause any problems when getting brackets?
Also, I am having my teeth bleached before I get braces. Is this going to cause a problem?

Answer:
To answer your first question, the material that we use to bond the braces on your teeth is made of the same material you had when the chipped tooth restored, so no this will not be a problem.
Secondly, having you teeth bleached before braces will not a problem either. If you choose a clear bracket the bleached teeth will look esthetically much better while you are going through your orthodontics to straighten your teeth.
