Question:
Previous Orthodontic Treatment: I am 40 years old and am still in treatment for an overbite.
I was told I would only need to wear the metal braces for 6 weeks. That turned into 11 months. I am now wearing a retainer for a passive eruption treatment which is not working.
My orthodontist has suggested Invisalign with notches. Supposedly this is a new process. Does it work or am I spinning my wheels?
I've been working with my Ortho now for 2 years and my vertical overbite is still present. What to do? ....Visitor from VA
Answer:
If brackets and wires are not working, Invisalign is not the fall back treatment.
Your most logical course of action at this point is to seek a second and third opinion.
