Question:
Collapsing Bite: I had braces as an adult.
Now my mouth is too small. I don't chew, talk or kiss correctly. I bite the outside of my tongue. My facial features have collapsed quite a bit.
Can this be reversed with braces again, by pushing the teeth out? ....Visitor from Maine
Answer:
I don't have any records to confirm this, but I am assuming that you had four permanent teeth removed.
What you are describing can be reversed with orthodontics, but may require expansion and possibly the placement of four implants and crowns to replace the teeth which were removed.
I would suggest seeking a consultation with an orthodontic specialist for a definitive
diagnosis and treatment plan.
