Question:
Therabreath and Oxyfresh - Is there something stronger? I have been suffering with bad breath for two years now. I have used Therabreath and Oxyfresh products. These seem to help some, but not enough. I went to a periodontist and he cleaned my tongue with Oxyfresh and sent me on my way. Is there someone that can prescribe something stronger like a antibiotic or something? Drew in NJ
Answer:
Drew, I attached a file that explains the steps we use with Oxyfresh. What
you are experiencing is very unusual! We get 99% success with Oxyfresh. I am sure your periodontist has treated you properly for gum disease, but you did not mention what type of gum evaluation and treatment you have received.
Gum problems can exacerbate halitosis! At this point, your problem may be coming from lack of AGGRESSIVE tongue scraping. This is very important. The tongue is the main culprit. If you have a gag reflex, put some salt on your tongue before you rub the paste on it. The salt will break the gag reflex.
Let me know what the Halimeter reading is currently. Your problem could be caused by other physical things, maybe stomach or lung problems. Make sure you see your physician for a physical. Follow the enclosed steps and mail me back. I am curious to know more, because it will help me with future treatment for my patients.
