Bone Grafts Ask The Dentist Ara Nazarian Question:
How many months do we have to wait after bone grafting (using a synthetic type of bone) before doing dental implants? ...Visitor from MI

Answer:
The waiting period for osseointegration to become complete can be anywhere from 3 to 9 months, on average.

It depends on the location of tooth (teeth), what products and technologies were used, skill of the dentist or surgeon, overall bone and tissue health conditions, and the patient's compliance in protecting the surgical area.
