Bone Grafts Ask The Dentist Daniel Marinic Question:
Adding Bone after Orthodontics: When I was eight years old I had four pre molar teeth removed.

When I was around 22 yrs old I had braces which closed the gaps up. Is there any way to add bone grafting to expand my jaw and add four implants? ...Visitor from CO

Answer:
Realistically ... no.

In order to create space, all of the teeth behind the premolars would have to be orthodontically "moved backwards."

This is almost impossible. Once the teeth where shifted, the placement of the implants would be possible.
