Question:
Braces without Molars? I am 40 something years old and I am interested in improving my
smile.
However, I had chemotherapy five years ago and because of this three of my molars cracked away right down to the gum line. My question is: Am I a candidate for braces even though I have three missing molars? ...Visitor from CA
Answer:
Yes, you may be able to have braces even though your molars are broken off, however there are a lot of questions that need to be answered.
Before braces are considered, an exam, x-rays and discussion are in order. Then braces may be your best option and they may not be your best option.
Your physical and dental health are very important and must be coordinated and raised to the highest possible level.
