Question:
I thought my bridge was loose. At first visit with new dentist he told me it had not been properly sealed. Could this be? He said the bridge is now useless because the teeth under it have decayed.

I am not sure what to do. Do I need a prosthodentist? It seems like big trouble since it involves the last tooth in the back. What would anchor a new bridge?

Answer:
If the teeth under the bridge have cavities, you most likely will also need root canals. I am not sure what anchors the bridge in your mouth without looking at it. You need solid, healthy teeth before you place a bridge. Prosthodontists are specialists for bridges, but any qualified dentist can perform this for you. Get more than one opinion, since the cost is so high.
