Question:
Car accident 25 years ago knocked out 7 front teeth. Received bridge spanning gap that outlasted its lifetime. Cracked porcelain, periodisease, etc. Finally, in June 2001 I received a brand new bridge-3 teeth holding it on each side of span. Looks beautiful.
Unfortunately on both sides there are infections where there have already been root canals. Now the bridge has to come out. It will not come out. An endodontists told me he never had to do anything this bad. Any suggestions for removal of this bridge without damaging it? Please help. ...Visitor from NY
Answer:
You have a difficult situation...
Personally if I could not get access I would cut the bridge off..... If I
had done the bridge recently I would stand behind it... That is one very
real reason that I stress real hard that is very important to get with and
stay with a dentist who you can trust to help you through difficult
situations....
Have you asked for a second opinion about what you need to do?
It is just so hard to really diagnose problems like this without seeing you.
I wish I could be of more help.
