Question:
My right lower molar has had two root canals and the back roots cut off. It is holding a bridge with seven teeth.
Also I have peridontial disease and do not have enough gum for post or implants. What can I do to save my bridge? ...Visitor from MS
Answer:
Gum tissue isn't the limiting factor.... it is the amount and quality of the underlying bone
that determines if and how implants can be integrated into your jawbone.
I suspect an accomplished reconstructive dentist who does alot of implant dentistry and bone grafting
can rebuild the lower jaw but it probably would require a new bridge.
Possibly a cantilevered bridge if the posterior areas of your jaw are too thin. There are examples
of this treatment on the website.
