Broken Teeth FAQ Ask The Dentist James Sanderson Question:
I had a temporary filling done sometime back in my lower right molar (2nd from last). A part of the tooth (but from the gumline) broke off some time back and the filling is eroding. The remaining portion of the tooth looks fine. No discoloration etc. There is no pain also.

I'm in the US for around a month more and my insurance does not cover dental. I would like to know whether I can afford to wait till I get back home to have it treated. I am not familiar with any dentists around here too. ...Visitor from IN

Answer:
I believe that you need to seek care for this tooth. It may cost you some money but it would be in your best interest to have it looked at. And then the dentist of your choice can discuss with you what the options are.
