I broke my tooth 8 months ago. My insurance company sent me to a dentist that I didn't know. He decided to replace my tooth with a porcelan tooth. It looks pretty nice but I can`t get used to it. My tongue is in contact with this fake tooth all the time. I'm sure there are better materials or replacements for a broken tooth that feels and looks O.K. Peter, it sounds like the crown that was made is too bulky and that is why it feels awkward to your tongue. I recommend that you see another dentist for a second opinion.
