Question:
About 2 months ago my top tooth cracked (4th one back) It hasn't been bothering me until about a week ago. On my gums above where the cracked tooth is, there is a swollen white bump and it is very sensitive.

What is it and should it be taken care of right away? By the way...I am totally afraid of dentists. ...Visitor from OH

Answer:
You need to see your dentist. You obviously have a cracked tooth and the root remains in your jaw bone. Eventually you will get pain and swelling
