FAQ:  Buck Teeth

Question:
Buck and Chipped Teeth: I am an 11 year old girl and I have bucked teeth and chipped Teeth. Is there any way I could fix my bucked and chipped teeth at my age? ...Visitor from Pennsyvlania

Answer:
Bucked teeth can usually be resolved with braces. Chipped teeth may be resolved by some slight trimming or filling in of the teeth.

Start by seeing an orthodontist.

Sometimes, depending on the severity of the chip, the orthodontist will "lengthen" your chipped tooth slightly, so as to trim away the chipped area.

Incidentally, chipped teeth usually occur in individuals with bucked teeth. The front teeth are so far out that they get hit/ traumatized quite frequently.
