FAQ:  Cracked Tooth

Question:
How can I tell if a tooth is cracked? Does a crack always result in pain in the tooth or gum? Visitor from IL

Answer:
Dan, your question is what's the difference between Cracked or crazed? If the tooth is cracked tooth pieces move apart. If it is crazed it looks like a crack down the middle and picks up stain easily. To repair the area we try bonding after we take the piece off or a crown sometimes root canal therapy.
