Question:
Recementing a Crown: I had a crown glued back on and now my gum is turning black.

What could be causing this? ...Visitor from FL

Answer:
I can only guess at this without seeing you, but maybe the metal from under the porcelain of the crown is showing at the gumline.

This would cause the gum tissue to look dark. Some of the porcelain could have fractured when the crown came off.
