Gold Crown: Approximately around the same time as a gold crown was put in a bottom molar, I have had digestive upset, abdominal pain and nausea 24/7. Doctors are mystified. Could this be from the gold crown? ...Visitor from MA

If the crown is true gold it should not be upsetting your stomach for that period of time. You may want to gat an analysis from the lab on the type of metal that the crown is made of and then a blood test to see about allergies. Sometimes it may be better to get a blood test from a holistic doctor for their tests are broader.

Occasionally if a gold tooth is placed near or contacts a silver filling there is an erosion which occurs and a metal byproduct may be given off which could be swallowed and cause an upset stomach. This will often also create an electrical charge and a shock in the mouth.
