Crowns - Ask The Dentist Jeffrey Hoos Question:
I was eating some jelly beans and my crown in myleft side of my mouth to the very back came off with the jelly beans! My tooth was exposed so I felt some pain, but was able to situate the crown back in its place and the pain is gone. Do you think that I can get it recemented or will I need a new one. It is not damaged it just came loose. ...Anna

Answer:
Get to your dentist and have him/her recement your crown with a resin cement. If you do not, the tooth with rot away and you will have a very expensive solution. Just putting the crown back yourself, still allows the saliva to get underneath the crown and cause problems. If the crown was recently done, the dentist may not charge you to put it back on.
