Question:
I like the idea of not having to use dental cream for my lower denture.
How easy does the denture come out for cleaning if I go with the "snap in method"? This or any other suggestions would be appreciated. ... Visitor from TX
Answer:
Snap-on dentures really are a snap. You have several choices, and the fees are different.
The easiest procedure is 4 mini-dental implants in the front part of your lower jaw. These can be placed in one appointment.
In my opinion, a new lower denture that has good tissue and bone support in the posterior is necessary to keep too much pressure off of the implants.
You could also have 2-4 traditional implants placed and a denture with locators placed over this. Both of these are removable by the patient. You can visit www.zestanchors.com to see what locators are.
Another choice is to have a denture that screws into traditional implants and cannot be removed by the patient. This procedure is very expensive and is called "All On 4".
