Dentures or Implants? Ask The Dentist Richard Winter Question:
Adhesives and Relinings don't work - Use Implants? I am 30 years old and have had an upper denture for going on 3 years now and no matter how many times I have gone to the dentist they are still not comfortable.

They do not stay fit to my mouth even after using the adhesives 2 or 3 times a day. I have had them relined but nothing seems to work. Should I consider implants or just simply try a new denture? ... Visitor from TX

Answer:
First you need to find a dentist that can make you a nice denture!

Then if you can afford it you should definitely invest in implants. You need a minimum of 3 implants to get started but 6-8 implants is ideal.

While this may be expensive it is well worth it. You will preserve bone, eat better, taste your food, digest your food... the benefits to your health and self-esteem are too many to list.
