  • How can I get braces with 2 jaw teeth missing: I'm 36 and I've always wanted straight teeth. I lost a jaw tooth in my teens. I lost the second one right near it about 2 yrs ago because the tooth kept getting infected the reason was because the root canal about 10 years prior was never finished. I have a partial with the 2 teeth made to fill in the gap so that I could have a full mouth of teeth. I have to admit that I oftentimes don't wear them. The other history of my teeth is that I have 2 other root canals on my jaw teeth (1 on my top jaw tooth and 1n my lower jaw tooth on the other side of my mouth). What can I do to get braces at this point so that I can have beautiful straight teeth? Braces, implants, invisalign please let me know. ...Visitor from FL     (answer)

  • I had braces when I was 12 1/2 yrs old. Got them off when I was 15. I wore my retainers for many years faithfully. About a year ago, my bottom retainer broke. I am a full time student and don't have much money. I was dismayed to see one of my teeth moved. When I got my retainers, my tooth was like that until the retainer was put in aligned position. It was fine until my retainer broke. I am wondering if I should get a new retainer as soon as possible? My teeth are the same so far, except for that one tooth that moved. I'm getting nervous going this long without a retainer for fear of other teeth shifting sooner or later. Should I get a new retainer as soon as possible? They're very expensive nowadays. I hear they can go as high as $400 apiece. ...Visitor from IL     (answer)

  • I never had a brace as a child and maybe i should have as I really hate my teeth! Its mainly my two front ones and the two either side of that, they seem to stick out a little. Is there anything that can be done without a brace? Roughly how much would that cost? I am 33 yrs old so not sure if that makes a difference! ...Visitor from UK     (answer)
