  • Braces - Veneers - Bonding: I'm about to have braces put on to correct a misaligned bite. When they come off, I'd like to have porcelain veneers put on to cover a severe tetracycline staining. I currently have some very old and worn bonding on my top teeth. My question is this: is it possible to have veneers put on the top teeth and bonding on the bottom and get the colors to approximately match? I ask this because, after the cost of the braces, I doubt I'll be able to afford veneers for both top and bottom teeth. ... Visitor from FL    (answer)

  • Braces and Veneers: My front 4 teeth have veneers bonded to the real teeth that were made smaller. Can I put braces on them without any problems? ... Visitor from TX    (answer)

  • Braces - Porcelain Veneers: I wanted to get porcelain veneers but the dentist that I asked said it was not a good option for me as I have an overbite and my two front teeth are overlapped. He said that I would still have bulkiness with porcelain veneers. So he said I should have braces. I haven't eaten anything solid since I have had them. I feel worse now than I did before. I just don't think I will last 2 years. Is there any way that he could be wrong and that I could have veneers and get these ugly braces off. Also they are clear braces and to me look bigger and bulker then regular ones.. ... Visitor from Summerside Prince Edward Island Canada     (answer)

  • Braces after Veneers? I want to put veneers on all my front teeth and also braces to align my jaw. Which one should I do first? What happened if you put veneer first and braces on top of that? Would it damage the veneers? I understand that there are lingual braces or Invisalign. Would they damage the veneer? ... Visitor from CA     (answer)

  • Decalcification between teeth: I currently have braces and notice a great deal of decalcification between teeth. I know that is my own fault (and have stopped drinking soda). Once my braces are removed, I'd like to get veneers immediately because of the aesthetic issues. Is it possible to have the veneers placed and adapt the retainer to the veneers? ... Visitor from NC     (answer)
