I have a lump on my bottom of my jaw. I can feel it on the inside of my mouth and on the outside of my lower jaw. I have no tooth pain, just swelling initally and now and itching. It is sensitive when it is touched form the inside of the mouth but not outside (It is not an insect bite). Can one have an abcess without tooth pain? My physician cannot see me until a week from now. Should I schedule an appointment with a dentist? ...Roberta in VA (answer)
