  • I have four mini implants to secure my lower dentures. The two outer implants have bone slivers most likely the shavings from the implants being screwed in. But they are irritating my gums a bit and I'm afraid they might compromise the stability of my implants.   • I just had mini implants put in about two weeks ago and they don't seem to want to stay in place. They are lifting up constantly on one side. Plus, the bite of my teeth are not connecting so my top teeth now won't stay in place. When I mentioned this to the dentist I was told that that is was normal for my top teeth to move around more and to just apply more denture paste. My mouth is always sore now and I'm afraid it will damage what bone I have left. All four of the mini implants were placed in the frontmost part of my jaw.   • 4 Mini upper implants vs 6: About 4 months ago I had 4 upper mini implants put in and dentures made for them. In my area this was a relatively new procedure and the dentist that did it was reasonable with his price. He had done this for a lot of people and was a very reputable Dentist. I questioned him about using 6 instead of 4 but he said there wasn't room for 6. I have had nothing but trouble since. I've already had to have the O-rings replaced twice because they get so loose and my whole mouth is just uncomfortble. His staff is very patient with me and can find no pressure spots or sore places.   • I had 4 dental implants put in about 4 years ago to hold my bottom dentures in place. I get pain from time to time. My chin gets inflamed with sores. I put anti septic cream on daily and wash my face daily with anti septic soap. My chin is permanently red and inflamed - some times worse than other times.   • Mini Implants: I've had dentures since I was in my 20's. So as I'm now 63, I have bone loss in my lower jaw. I'd like to have mini implants to hold the lower denture in place. A dentist I went to in Mexico tried to warn me off of them, wanting me to have the regular implants. 4 of them in the front only. I really like the sound of the mini implants still.   • Immediate Upper Denture: 9 days ago my husband had an immediate upper denture, since then he has been extremely sore, not to mention very depressed.   • Mini implants - Temporary or Permanent? I have just had a new set of dentures made. Now I am looking at getting implants to stabalize them. My dentist told me that mini implants are a just temporary solution. I have heard otherwise so now I am confused. He also told me that I have great bone density on upper and lower. The cost of the mini implants seem to be much less and even though I have dental insurance it will only pay $1500 which leaves me with a pretty big bill if I get the traditional implants.   • Mini implants for Full Upper Denture: I have a full upper denture that is approximately 6 months old. Cosmetically it is fine but unless I use paste or powder to secure it. It will not stay in place while eating. If all conditions are right can mini implants be used to secure and hold a full upper denture and can the part of the denture that covers the pallet be removed?   • Denture Implants? I'm 22 years old and just had all of my top teeth removed. I cannot eat or talk, it is impossible. I know I will adjust, but I would like implants for the top.   • Repeated implant failures: I had mini implants put in 8 weeks ago. 4 on the bottom and 6 on the top. The three on the left side of the mouth on top healed just fine and are stable. The three on the right side were still mobile after 6 weeks so the dentist replaced those with three more and removed the first ones. Now after a week the new ones are loose again and his only answer is to take them out and let the bone heal for three months. That is not a very satisfactory answer for me. I have noticed the shrinkage of my gum tissue and am wondering in time what will hold them in place?   • Upper jaw: My 84 year old mother in law is looking into getting mini dental implants for the upper jaw. She has an extra bone in the front of her mouth that makes it difficult if not impossible for her dentures to "suction" properly. We are hearing and reading articles on sores, bleeding, inflamation, etc., due to the mini implants, especially when they are in the upper jaw.   • Dentures: My teeth are horrible and I have no molars at all left on the bottom. My teeth are soft and will not hold fillings. I was in a wreck that gave me major facial trauma and made my teeth loose.   • Upper Jaw: My husband is considering getting mini-implants as shown in your video, but the DDS only offers them for the bottom denture. His price is pretty reasonable, but still high. He says it cannot be done for upper dentures, but you've shown that it can. Is it a good idea for a person to take this route?   • My top front four natural teeth, the ones you see when you smile, come out a tiny bit more than the other front teeth and overlap the incisors. I am getting them removed and wanted to get mini implants with porcelain crowns or a bridge but I am worried in case the bridge or the mini's won't be able to be put in place when I get the teeth removed because the teeth are not right beside each other. Can you still get these procedures if your natural teeth are situated this way? There is no room for them to be put back in line with the other teeth because the top teeth hit the bottom teeth. ...
