- Overdenture causes bulging of lips: This past June I had a lower denture made after having eight teeth extracted. When the healing is complete my dentist will install zest applianced in my canines. At present this overdenture bulges out below my lip, not attractive. My dentist says that when he's done in four more months and I have my permanent denture it will look better but will still protrude somewhat.
