- My dentures don't fit: I recently had 3 teeth pulled and a top denture made. I had this all done about a month ago. I've already had to have my dentures relined 4 or 5 times. They are once again too big. I end up using a gel adhesive. But after getting them relined about 3-4 days later they don't fit. Is there a special way to remove them? - Weight Loss causes Loose Dentures? I had all my upper teeth pulled 9 months ago and was fitted for a denture and then a liner. I noticed right away that the denture appeared loose and could fall out easily. I told my dentist this and she said don't worry that with the final liner it would work. Each successive time I went in and got refitted I was told this would be okay after final liner. Well I got my final liner 2 months ago and my dentures will still fall out of my mouth! I told the dentist and she asked me if I had weight loss and I said yes... a little over the period because I am a meat and potatoes kind of guy and had to quit eating solid hard food.
