Question:
4 months ago I had a filling. Since then I have been in terrible pain.
I have been on antibiotics for 2 months. I have puss that drains out around that tooth out of the gums. I have swelling terrible burning and raw feeling.
My dentist and periodontist dont know what to do. ....Visitor from TX
Answer:
It surprises me that your dentist and periodontist cannot find what to do. It sounds like you need a root canal or to have the tooth extracted.
Antibiotics that do not help for two months may need to be discontinued and changed. The source of the infection needs to be found.
I would suggest a second opinion from a dentist who has not been involved in your treatment so far.
