Can Periostat and Arestin be used together for treatment of periodontal disease? ...Visitor from NH
Answer:
I would not use Arrestin and Periostat at the same time.
Arrestin is a local antibiotic applied in the pockets. Periostat is a low dose of clindamycin meant for long term use.
I would think that one or the other should be tried. Ask your dentist which and why.
