Gums Ask The Dentist Edward Leventhal

Question:
Gum growth following bone grafting: How long does it take for the gums to grow around a bone graft?

Is there anything that can be done to facilitate the gum growth and overall success of the bone grafting? .... Visitor from VA

Answer:
It can take six months for healing around a bone graft, and another six months for full remodeling of tissue.

Patience is necessary for patients.
