Gums Ask The Dentist Jeffrey Hoos Question:
I lost a couple of fillings within a week of each other and my gums have been pretty sore since then. I haven't been to a dentist since I know nothing will be done with sore gums.

Is there something that I can do to heal my gums before visiting a dentist? ...Rick

Answer:
Rick, get to the dentist. Your gums are sore because the food is getting between your teeth and causing inflammation. Your dentist will solve this for you. Warm salt water will help in the short term.
