FAQ:  Lingual Braces

Video: Lingual Braces

Question:
Jaw Surgery and Hidden Braces:I am 19 years old and many years ago, many orthontists told me that I need braces and then jaw surgery to move my bottom jaw.

I wasn't interested in the surgery until recently. Now since I'm older I would rather have the hidden braces. Am I able to have lingual braces if I have to get jaw surgery? ...Visitor from OK

Answer:
Lingual braces are great. You can have them with surgery. Just prior to your surgery, your orthodontist will place clear buttons on the outside of your teeth, which will be removed soon after your surgery. Go for it.
