FAQ:  Lock Jaw (Trismus)

Oral Surgery Resources
Neuromuscular Dentists

Question:
I am only 14 years of age and I have a bad case of trismus, from what I can remember it was from one quick fight I had 2 years ago. My jaw hurts so much, how can I help myself make it better? ... Jodie in Gloucestershire, England

Answer:
You need to see an oral surgeon and TMJ expert! You have to make sure there were no fractures, dislocations, or other problems. The problem you have is complex and you need to find the right professionals to treat you. It is not a problem I can give you advice on in writing because there could be many things involved.
