Dental Bonding to Fix Loose Teeth?

Loose Wiggly Teeth Ask The Dentist Corinne Scalzitti

Question:
I had deep pocket surgery one week ago. The deepest pocket was around my bottom front tooth.

It has healed nicely, but now the tooth is loose. Does this mean the tooth cannot be saved, or is there still the possibility it will tighten up? ...Visitor from OH

Answer:
The purpose of the surgery was to remove bacteria and diseased tissue so new healthy tissue can grow.

It is not unusual for a tooth to be more loose as the healing occurs. It is important that the tooth not hit the opposing tooth too heavily during this time, or it will interfere with its ability to tighten.
