Question:
My 17 year old son has a Maryland bridge on his front tooth that falls out every 3 to 4 weeks.
I need to know what else can we do. Doctors say he's too young for an Implant and the bridge is not staying. ...Visitor from GA
Answer:
There are several reasons why the bridges could be coming loose.
It could be the bite, the fit of the wings, or the quality of the enamel on the teeth holding the bridges in place.
You don't mention how long he has had the bridges but he could have grown, and the teeth shifted a bit so that the frame of the bridge just isn't quite right. Orthodontics may also be an issue.
