Question:
I had 4 dental implants put in about 4 years ago to hold my bottom dentures in place. I get pain from time to time. My chin gets inflamed with sores. I put anti septic cream on daily and wash my face daily with anti septic soap.

My chin is permanently red and inflamed - some times worse than other times. One doctor said the implants are placed too close to my nerves. Can you please help to tell me what to use or what to do? ...visitor from New Zealand

Answer:
Your implants may be failing. Have a dentist who does implants x-ray your implants to see if they are healthy. Something is definitely wrong.
