Question:
2 or 4? I have only 3 teeth left on bottom with a cusil denture and full denture on top.
I can afford two conventional implants or four minis to secure lower denture. Which would work better two conventional or four minis? ...Visitor from NJ
Answer:
Any implant is better than none.
The retention of four minis is usually equivalent to two traditionals.
The difference is you usually get less rocking with four implants, anchoring points. Imagine a chair with two legs compared to four.
The further the anterior posterior distance the better support.
The placement of mini implant devices is primarily a non surgical event, whereas standard implants require periodontal site preparation surgeries.
