Question:
Immediate Upper Denture: 9 days ago my husband had an immediate upper denture, since then he has been extremely sore, not to mention very depressed.
I have been doing some research on mini dental implants to retain the denture. Is this an alternative or will he just have to live with the pain? I am extremely worried about his state of mind as he has even talked about suicide which he has never done before.
I just feel so bad for him. He said it is the worst thing he has ever done and wishes he would not have done it at all. Please help! ...Visitor from MI

I am so sorry your husband is going through this. Have you contacted your dentist?
This pain is not ok and can be stopped. The denture is pushing on the tissue too hard. The Denture can have soft lining to make it comfortable.
Please get to the dentist and if your dentist can not make this right then find someone who will. Do not allow him to suffer and be proactive
