Question:
Stained Teeth: Can Augmenton, Amoxicilon, or Zithromax cause teeth staining in young children? ... Visitor from MA

Answer:
The medication that you mentioned should not by themselves cause staining of the teeth in children or adults.

The reason, however, why the child is taking the antibiotic (such as fever and infection) may cause a change in the uptake of the calcium by the teeth and result in mottled or different whiteness of the teeth.
