FAQ:  Novacaine

Novacaine Ask The Dentist Ron Briglia Question:
Novacaine causes interactions with other meds? I am having a tooth pulled.

Will the novacaine and nitrous oxide gas I take interact with my other meds I take? These include Celexa, Xanax and Levoxal. ...Visitor from PA

Answer:
Although you should consult with the dentist who will be extracting your tooth, your medications should not be a problem.

If you have a problem with the anesthetic making your heart race, you can ask the dentist to use a "novacaine" without Epinepherine.
