Question:
I have had my braces on for more than 3 years and I am more than anxious to get them off. When I went to the Orthodontist a week ago he told me my over bite was 3mm. I was wondering what the over bite is suppose to be.
And I just got rubber bands too and they gave me the most flexible ones. Are they going to give me larger ones next time? I just want to get some more information so I know when I can expect to get my braces off... thank you so much!! ...Visitor from NY

Your orthodontist is probably trying to 'finish' your case, meaning, getting the best bite for you. Flexible rubberbands are for trying to get your side bite closer together. The best person to ask this would be your orthodontist.
