Question:
About four or five weeks ago I had a filling (cavity) replaced with cerac. About a week or two after the filling had been replaced I started experiencing ear, neck, and jaw pain which then turned into severe localized tooth pain. I also have a lump on my gum.
I was told by my dentist that I had an abcess, he put me on antibiotics and have since had a root canal done. My question is... I have been on antibiotics for a week, had the root canal done four days ago, and am still experiencing severe pain and the lump on my gum has not gone away.
I am very tired and sluggish and feel that I am not getting any answers. What should be done next? ...Visitor from NH
Answer:
It sounds like you are still having some infection problems. See your
dentist again in the morning or call tonight to let him or her know that you
will need to be seen.
