Question:
About 4 months ago I started feeling a pain in my upper gums on the right side of my mouth. So I went to see an oral surgeon. He told me that the pain was caused by wisdom teeth which hadn't been removed.
So in November I got all 4 removed. About a month after I felt the pain again so I went back to the oral surgeon. He didn't see anything wrong with my gums. It's now February and I'm still feeling the same pain.
I feel a throbbing sensation in either my upper or lower gum/jaw on the right side. What do you think the problem could be? Also, which kind of dentist should I make an appointment with? ...Visitor from FL
Answer:
Why were the wisdom teeth causing a problem? infection? cysts? What was the diagnosis?
I would venture to say that you may have TMJ (headaches, neurologic disturbances, etc.) but you may need in-depth studies, involving MRIs, etc. Read enclosed for more help, or consult with an ENT in your area. Something is causing the problem, you just have to find out what it is..
