Question:
Hard Mass on Gumline: I have had so much trouble with my bottom right side of my mouth for over a year.
I am in horrible amounts of pain, to the point where I don't even sleep. I've gone through everything, wisdom teeth extraction, scalings, xray after xray. even neurologists.
However, if I run my tongue or my finger along the inside gumline I can feel where a very hard mass is. It's about 2/4 inch long. It's not soft at all, it's as hard as bone.
It just throbs like crazy and no one is giving me any answers. Do you have ANY idea what this could be? I tried showing the mass to my endodonist who just kind of shrugged and ignored me. I am so lost and in so much pain. ...Visitor from PA
Answer:
It is not normal to have this type of pain for over a year and not have a diagnosis or plan of action.
It's hard to believe that an Endodontist would ignore a dental problem, and not refer you to another provider.
I feel your next course of action is to see an Oral Surgeon who specializes in the type of dental pain that you are describing. Don't wait, call tommorrow!
