Question:
I cannot afford a bridge and my insurance won't cover it. My gum disease has left me with one loose front tooth and large gaps in the front. I may lose my tooth. I am only 25 and my only insurance option is a front partial.
Do they fall out when you kiis? How stable are these or can I fight my insurance company? ...Visitor from CA
Answer:
Remember you are in charge of your own dental health. An insurance company may not cover your bridge but you will benefit from one. Partials can work well if made properly. However, bridgework is your
best investment.
It won't come out when you kiss. Also, you must remove your partial during sleeping or you will lose the remaining teeth. There are several dental finance companies that can help you pay for bridgework with a low monthly payment. Find a dentist that carries one of these if it is helpful.
