Question:
I would like to know how long it takes for 12 year molars to come in. My son has been suffering for the past year and a half and now his face is swollen. ...Diana
Answer:
Hi Diana and thank you for the question. Typically, the 12 year molars erupt anywhere from 11-13 years of age. Since it has taken over a year for these molars to erupt indicates that something else is occurring.
I would contact your pediatric dentist and have this examined. Also, since he has swelling, I would go as soon as possible. My guess is that the molars are not the problem.
