Question:
I have had work done on tooth #7 alot of times, a root canal a reroot canal. They have even went into my gum and cleaned it out. Now I went to another doctor who says he could do a tooth extention, that will cost a considerable amount... and another dentist will do the rebuild and cap at double the cost estimated by the first doctor.
My gum is gray around the tooth and goes up my gums now. Which I read is infection. There really isn't a tooth left for the cap to hang on to. But there used to be and it still was infected. What should I do? ...Visitor from GA
Answer:
It sounds like you are not having much success with that tooth.
I wonder about having an implant placed instead of doing more work on a questionable tooth??? Without seeing a radiograph of the tooth I am not able to really give you good advice though...
The implant is just an idea.
