Oral Conscious IV General Sedation FAQ Ask The Dentist Ron Briglia Question:
Dental Office versus Hospital: I need to have the surgical procedure done to remove a large Mandibular Tori.

Is it safe to have this procedure done in the oral surgeon's office under sedation or is it a better idea to have it in a hospital setting? ...Visitor from PA

Answer:
Having a mandibular tori smoothed down is a relatively basic procedure for an oral surgeon.

Undergoing this treatment in the oral surgeon's office should be fine.

Receiving the identical treatment in a hospital setting is not justified and would incur a much greater cost.
