Question:
I am 24 years old and was recently informed that I have hypocalcification along with 3 cavities. All my teeth are extremely sensitive to cold and sweets.
The dentist is currently filling in the cavities and suggesting fluoride treatments. What procedures can be used to stop the sensitivity in all my teeth and prevent further decalcification? Would fluoride treatments be enough? ...Visitor from TX
Answer:
The fluoride treatment and you spending 15 - 20 minutes daily perfectly cleaning every surface of all of your teeth is what I would want to think about in these situations.
I would also want to think about with you how these areas got there. Are you drinking lots of soft drinks throughout the day?? Lots of candy staying in your mouth like altiods?
That is something to talk with your dentist about as well. You want to know how to get this to stop and you also want to do everything you can to prevent these things from happening again.
