Sensitive Teeth Ask The Dentist Ara Nazarian

Question:
Sensitivity and veneers: Will the application of veneers such as Lumineer help prevent sensivity in teeth? ...Visitor from NE

Answer:
Yes, many times patients who experience sensitivity find that covering the front part of the teeth reduces the cold sensitivity they are experiencing.

If you are cavity free, then the sensitivity can be due to thinness of enamel or recession around the gumline.

In most cases, I have found that patients have less sensitivity when Lumineers or thin veneers are placed.
