Question:
For 40 years, my teeth have not been sensitive.
About 5 years ago, I had a mercury filling replaced with a new filling material (1 tooth only) that is more natural looking.
But now ALL of my teeth are sensitive, especially when eating ice cream. They also seem to feel loose at times, especially after I floss.
I get my teeth checked every 6 months, and my dentist never finds any cavities or problems and tells me to use Sensodyne. What else can be wrong? ...Visitor from TX
Answer:
I would suspect that your bite may be the cause of your sensitivity. Also, in 5 years the bite could cause some looseness.
I would suggest a second opinion to take a look at these problems.
